Seven Wave Sat Nam Meditation

Today’s meditation originates from the  traditions of Kundalini Yoga.  These ancient teachings are a very direct method for  improving your mental and physical state.  By drawing on the power of asanas, breathwork, chants and meditations, Kundalini Yoga very effectively taps into a latent source of energy within the body.  Releasing this kundalini energy results in an increased sense of well-being and creates expansive awareness, helping you to live a more happy, healthy and harmonious life!

The Seven Wave “Sat Nam” meditation helps to cleanse the mind of unwanted habits.  By vibrating the sound current of Sat Nam, you activate the energy of the mind that erases and establishes habits.  After chanting this mantra, you will feel calm and relaxed.  It is recommended to practice this meditation for 11-31 minutes; however, even dedicating 1-3 minutes is very beneficial.

Instructions for the Seven Wave “Sat Nam”: 

Eyes are closed, looking up, focusing at the brow point.

Place the palms flat together at the center of the chest in Prayer Pose, with thumbs touching the center of the sternum.

Inhale deeply, concentrating on the breath, with the exhale, chant the mantra, SAT NAM.  As you exhale, feel the vibration of SAT through the first six chakras and NAM on the last chakra.  The chant of SAT will be six times longer than that of NAM.  Take a full inhale before each repetition.

These affects of this meditation will be felt  throughout the day.  Your mood will be lifted…you will be happier!  By making a commitment to practice a Kundalini meditation for a 40 day period, old habits will be broken, allowing for new positive habits to take root.
